The second floor of our home is a large 2BR, 2BA apartment with a playroom and full kitchen. Private entry from the garage. The house was built in 2006 so newer appliances, open layout, and a clean space. Very roomy.
We live on the first floor with our three kids, ages 2, 4 and 5. We have had two families that stayed six months each, with no noise complaints on either end, though you may hear our kids fuss occasionally.
We have a large heated pool, 3 feet deep in the shallow end and ~4.5 feet deep in the “deep” end. Guests may use the pool 24 hours as long as they aren’t too noisy after 9 pm. We also use the pool, and some of our neighbors with kids ages 1-5 also swim sometimes. The pool is usually empty after 5 pm. Guests may “reserve” the pool for a 3-4 hour window if they want private use, as long as they give me 24 hours’ notice.
Guests may use our BBQ grill and deck if interested, and there’s plenty of seating by the pool. We provide pool towels and have plenty of pool toys to share.
You can access Lake Erie from our back yard, but you’ll probably want to use hiking shoes. The gravel path to the lake can be muddy. There’s a great, sandy beach at Edgewater Park, just 1.5 blocks away (ten minute walk).
Edgewater is a very walkable neighborhood. You can walk to the park, grocery store, chipotle, CVS and nail salon. We have kids ages 1-5. You can borrow our bikes, stroller, scooters, etc. There are two parking spots in our driveway that we reserve for guests. Uber is very easy from our house to go downtown for sporting events, and much cheaper/easier than trying to park downtown for a game.
Please let us know if we can make your stay more comfortable. We are happy to provide a variety of kids supplies/ baby items if needed. I can help you pre-stock the unit with basic groceries if you plan to eat in.

2-dedicated parking spots in huge driveway for guests. Uber is easy, usually ten minute pickup time. 15 minutes to airport. 8-10 minutes to downtown. 15-20 minutes to Metro Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital/ Rainbow Babies. Walk to Edgewater Park. Bike, walk or drive 0.5 miles to shops, ice-cream, sushi, groceries, CVS, Chipotle, etc.
Host can help arrange highly experienced babysitter day or evening.
Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We know how hard it is to travel with kids. If you need children’s Tylenol or a little olive oil, we’re happy to share as we would with our neighbors, if we’re home during your stay, so you don’t have to run to the store to buy something you forgot to pack.

- Quiet hours after 8 pm.
- Use of hot tub is 24x7 ONLY if quiet hours are respected.
- Guests are expected to be reasonably clean before entering hot tub.
- Guests may use basement laundry respectfully.
- No unregistered guests on premises or in hot tub.
- No fireworks of any kind permitted on property.
- $500 fine plus expenses incurred for violation of any of these rules.
- Damage to laundry, hot tub, or other appliances will be billed to guests.
- No firearms allowed on property. If a guest leaves a firearm on the property, local authorities will be called to retrieve it. Guest must contact authorities to get it back.
- Guests are expected to leave the house in reasonably clean condition and to clean all dishes used. Cleaners charge $25 per hour for washing dirty dishes left out or in cupboards.
Note: we only have room for one car per rental behind the house. Street parking is free but local police prefer not to see a car sitting in the same spot for many days.
